Well there is nobody here to hear it, so I guess explaining who I am really isn’t that important, but I’m one of the few people on the planet that know we’re doomed. It’s an awesome responsibility; it’s kind of like being in the Cassandra realm, where you could be telling people left and right what’s going to happen, but nobody will believe you. I mean, why would they? It’s insane… the planets been spinning on its axis with humans and other animals on it for a million years and now none of that is going to be. But, I get ahead of the story actually… possibly the end of the story. It all started when we saw the thing… it would be eventually dubbed the Great Machine… come hurtling at us from the center of the galaxy. We had warning… a little bit… 25 years or so… and when we spotted it, nobody in that right mind would believe it. It looked far too… man made… although that’s an irony… far too manmade to be an asteroid or planetoid or some man made… [scratch that] or natural object that floats around in space and it came slowly it just meandered on in a few hundred thousand of miles per hour. What the hell… we really didn’t expect it suppose if our doom was coming we suspected it would just pop in the space next to the planet in orbit and say hi. But, that’s not what happened; it took awhile, and we studied it and for what we could study… I mean our science just looked at it and said OK… it’s a big square far too perfect a square. Couldn’t help but think of the black obelisk in 2001 from Mr. Clark… genius… but it was square not based on the first 3 primes. WE looked at it, we watched it. I mean, what else could we do… it was way too far out there for us to get to it. And, slowly it came into orbit and that was pretty much all we knew ’til we figured out we were dead.
